This T-shirt bears the Community marking, a piece of schizophrenia art by me! Ian McKenzie. Community is one of my favorite markings; its form is pleasing to me, and it is a companion to me when I go to markets, share things on social media, and when I’m out in the world attempting to embrace the hustle and bustle of humanity around me.
By no means do I claim to be a bigot, but I grew up in an area where progressive thinking was far from the norm. Because of that, I have ingrained in me a natural resistance to ways of life I may not necessarily understand.
That being said, I am human, which means I have an innate need to love and be loved. With that in mind, how can I not love those who are trying to make their lives and the lives of others better and more loving?
By focusing on the Community marking, I shed my inner contrarianism and embrace the ideals of perpetuating love and kindness to all of us. These ways of living are not necessarily applicable to how I choose to live, but if I am surrounded by happiness, it makes my life happier by being surrounded by that joy.
The tri-blend fabric creates a vintage, fitted look. And extreme durability makes this t-shirt withstand repeated washings and still remain super comfortable. The schizophrenia art on this T-shirt is titled “Community”.
